TALKS

Talks that Peter Kupisz can share with your church, school, youth group, or campus group.

Primarily Suitable for Sermons and Chapels

The Purpose of It All
– If God does not exist, there is no purpose or meaning to life but since God does exist, our lives are imbued with meaning and significance.

Worshipping God Above All – Worshipping God alone matters a great deal to him. But why does God care so much whether we worship him?

Only One Way – All the religions of the world cannot be true because they contradict each other in their core beliefs; Jesus is the only way to be saved.

God, Worship and the Meaning of it All – This talk combines the best of the above three (“Purpose of It All”, “Worshipping God Above All” and “Only One Way”).

Apologetics in the Service of Evangelism – Apologetics is not about apologizing, it’s about helping people come closer to Christ. God used apologetics to transform the lives of Nabeel Qureshi and Jordan Monge.

Miracles – Miracles are not simply something that happened long ago; they happen today.  Whether it is miraculous healings or Muslims experiencing dreams and visions, God is at work around the world.

Worth Dying For – Following Jesus involves being willing to suffer for him; this is what Christians throughout the world and throughout history have done. (Note: This talk does not really focus on apologetics issues.)

The Search for Significance - Everyone longs for value and worth so that they will be loved by others. The world says that value and worth comes from how we look or what we achieve. But our actual worth is based in the fact that we are made in God's image.

Suitable for Workshops or Classroom Situations

Reconciling the Impossible: Evil and the Existence of God – Evil actually shows that God exists and there are some good reasons as to why God would allow evil.

Does God Exist? The Moral Argument for God – People regularly treat moral claims as objectively true but this only makes sense if God exists.

Friend or Foe? History of Science and Christianity – Historians agree that “conflict” is not the right way to characterize the historical relationship between Christianity and science.

Debating Evolution: Three (or Four) Different Christian Responses - Young Earth Creationism, Old Earth Creationism and Evolutionary Creationism (a.k.a. Theistic Evolution) are the three main ways that Christians have responded to the theory of evolution. A fourth view, known as Intelligent Design, also provides a non-religious response to the issues.

An “Atheist” and a Christian “Debate – In this debate I pretend to be an atheist and give several reasons for atheism; I then switch roles and provide responses to my atheist alter ego.

Fruitful Conversations Using Apologetics – Using apologetics in evangelism requires learning how to enjoy conversations and respecting other people, while also sharing the truth with them.
